  1. This was wrong the last time it was posted less than week ago. It’s still wrong.

  2. Considering country is territory and people only figuratively use it to mean state, most of these will be 100%.

France the country is fully in Europe. France the state isn’t. You can thank the Americans for using the term “state” for their provinces that today people think country = state.

This is the worse map ever.  The caption and the map have birthing to do with each other.

  4. Greece should be just over 90 %. Lesbos, Chios, Samos and Rhodes alone have around 5 % of the land.

I’m thinking that Bouvet island is so small (49 sq km) compared to Norway (which also includes Svalbard in Europe) that this 99% has to be rounded down.

  6. Don’t show this map to the Georgians and Armenians. Heck, I’ve seen even Kazakhstani have started coping that they’re European.

The Netherlands; only Saba, st.Eustachius and Bonaire are still ‚Dutch‘ special administrations.

Aruba, Curaçao and st.Maarten are their own states (yes, like Greenland)

The UK is entirely in Europe. British Overseas Territories are not a part of the UK.

Wrong for Denmark. Greenland is not part of Denmark. It is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. You cannot count it in this map.

  10. > Every Country

No Transcaucasia and Kazakhstan which have territory in Europe

Once again, this heavily depends on how we exactly define „total“, „land“, „Europe“ and „country“.

The uk is only 99% with all their territories? I thought the falklands alone would bring it down to like 96.

Turkey is included, why Kazakhstan is not? It has even larger percentage in Europe.

Is the Netherlands stat for the kingdom of the Netherlands? Or does that not include the constituent countries that are independent? Like Sint Maarten, Aruba etc I think are technically separate countries

The Nethelands have 33600 km2 dry land in Europe and 6 Carribean islands that together measure less than 1000 km2, so 97% is in Europe.

Suriname, Indonesia and any other former colony is as Dutch as New York.
