Even if I’ll be glad to pay less for my food, truth is cie will probably increase their prices and their margin as customers are already used to those prices ….. then in 2 years , it will be politically impossible to bring back the sale tax. At the end it is just some subsidies for cies. Not saying it is bad , but I do not think customers will really benefit from the tax cut tbh ( or at least only during a few months )

    If there is a tax cut, prices will look like it is going down but it is really a gift for food producers and sellers to hike prices even more for their profit margins to look good on the stock market because it is the only thing that matters for the government. You think wages will go up? Be riled all you want about late stage capitalism rhetoric but that is what lip stick looks like on a pig.
