I see the NDP is going for its second Indo-Canadian leader!
Jokes aside, that’s a veeery small town basically in the middle of nowhere. Went there for work once, it’s very quintessentially small town Ontario. It must be kinda cool that a local is running for the leadership of a major federal party, but it’s funny that it’s for the NDP. According to elections Canada data, only 14 people there voted NDP in the last election (313 CPC, 102 LPC)
Tony is a class act and I’m happy to have him in the leadership race. Very impressed that he managed to raise the $100,000 fee. I’ve always wondered where he’d run if he did somehow win. He’s always come across as someone who deeply loves where he’s from but even if the NDP was back at 15% in the polls and he got a leader boost Huron–Bruce is not an NDP accessible riding
