Ein Zivilist filmt, wie eine ukrainische F-16 ein russisches UAV mit einer AIM-120 AMRAAM-Rakete abschießt, nachdem bereits alle AIM-9 Sidewinder eingesetzt wurden.

I’m impressed with the camera man’s tracking skills

I’m sorry but there is just no way you could know thats an AMRAAM from that video.

That trade isn’t feasible long term. 1 million$ vs a 50k$ drone… Russia will keep pumping those out and Ukraine will run out of $. Need cheaper missiles

Camera man needs a raise. Most people can’t even keep a 10yard focus in frame and this guy tracked an AMRAAM.

That missile cost a lot more than the drone (Assuming things are as reported)

Given the range, I’m guessing this is an AIM-9. I know the typical loadout places AMRAAMs on the wingtips, but Sidewinders can and have been placed there as well. If the F-16 is flying a CAP and most targets are likely to be UAVs, Sidewinders make way more sense.

These guys could really use some FALCO missiles
That’s too close for an amraam though isn’t it?
