  1. Saying things doesn’t make them true even if you really really want them to be

Wrong choice of words, but he has a point. The U.S only has the military reach it does because of NATO airfields, bases and ports. The U.S. military is ingrained in NATO and it does nothing but benefit from it.

It would be a huge challenge for the U.S. Navy if it lost all that access.

Even if the US could do it alone, I don’t know why they would want to. NATO is so much stronger together, and it makes no sense to undermine and push away your closest allies when the real problems are staring everyone in the face.

The only country that might have a shot of going it alone with no TRUE allies is China. But being that isolated on the world stage isn’t a good look for them, long term.

The US cannot go it alone but if they want to willingly throw themselves off that cliff, let them. The rest of us will figure it oit.

According to americans, that isnt true and they dont need nato or anyone else mooching off them. Are you saying America isnt the greatest nation on the face of the planet?

I think a lot of Americans are going to have a tough time coming to terms with the truth about the „American Exceptionalism“ lie.

    Edit:
American exceptionalism is the belief that the United States is fundamentally different from other countries and has a unique role or mission in the world.

    Basically „USA is #1!“

  7. I do not agree with Trump and his policies, but this is a stupid take. The United States is the most powerful country in human history. It does not need NATO to continue to influence and project its power. Especially with the current state of Europe, Russia and Iran. China is the only country thay is even somewhat of a threat to the American Hegmony. The only country that bring the US down is itself.

Tell that to the roughly 30% of the American voting-age public that supported the assbag pedo and his party of sycophants (and fellow pedos).

I loathe the majority of my fellow countrymen, because they either support this moron or they couldn’t be bothered to get out and vote against this moron last November.

  9. China has always been jealous that the US has the closest thing to „friends“ in geopolitics. Whatever the domestic politics of US allies, US allies generally wanted to be led by the Americans.

Now America has offered a divided world for China to pick winners/losers from.

He’s right. The era of a single superpower dictating everything is shifting. Alliances like NATO aren’t just a favor to Europe; they are a strategic necessity for the US to maintain global stability and its own influence.

Bankruptcy artists don’t try to go it alone. They try to burn it alone.

  12. US does NOT want to do prop up NATO mostly by herself (60%) like it has over the past few decades which is why US has been pushing to Europe to step up. I mean how hard a concept is it? How many entities do you know of will encourage their enemies to spend more to get stronger?

No nation is. Even the biggest empires in the world literally couldn’t sustain themselves without other nations/empires.

I would be very happy if the US would go it alone and stopped paying for NATO

He’s right. Most of us here are not in board with Trump (we’re talking 60+%). There is no way as divided as we are right now, we hold any power.

  16. The Trump Plan is to flex their muscles until it is time to use their brain, and when that time comes, well there is no brain, so again they flex their muscles and of course this never goes smooth. Usually the Bully prevails until he is up against many!
