      Our hospitality industry is going to take massive hits from less inbound travel because of what’s going on in the U.S. it’s going to affect so many people.

      Amazing, it took Trump and his administration 1 year to totally destroy what took years to create and grow.

      If someone told me in 2021 that the number of Canadians/Quebecers going to Florida would be so bad and low that ALL Canadian airlines would cancel that direct route … I would’ve called them nuts.

      Simply amazing.

      I’m curious if Canadian airlines could stop the bleeding by marketing Canadian tourism more aggressively to Americans.

      I saw Costco in the US is offering one of their vacation packages for the Fairmont Banff Springs/Lake Louise. More of those offerings could boost their numbers, perhaps.

      Obviously. No one wants to risk it.

      Their own citizen get detained and brutalized in their concentration camp without the possibility to prove their citizenship because they are stripped of their right to legal counsel and proper procedures. The fact that they did that to immigrant was already bad enough, and the bar was already very low, but they brought a shovel to dig deeper.

      If they can do that to their own citizen, I don’t want to see what they would do with tourists.

      So many other places in the world where I won’t be scared of being abducted by ICE, I’ll pick any of those for my next vacation.

      “The airline is cancelling its flights to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando for the 2026 summer season, with a gradual end of operations in the spring, spokesperson Marie-Eve Vallières said Thursday. Flights to Orlando from Montreal will end on May 3, along with flights to Fort Lauderdale from Quebec City and Montreal, starting in May and June.

      Air Transat previously had as many as two flights a day to Florida.”

      Wow I used air transat to go to Miami a few time and those flights were always full

      This is AWESOME! Worst airline I’ve ever flown. Suck it, Transat-holes!

      Air Transat only has 1 destination in the US. This is a highly misleading post…. They only served Orlando and not have stopped

      I can’t recall seeing a boycott have effects like this until now. You have to get people pretty upset before they will change their plans and lifestyles. Just goes to show how much the perception (and reality) of the US has degraded in just a single year. There’s more to come, I’m sure.
