In a normal system she would be gone already The fact she is not says everything

  2. We haven’t had a remotely sane political climate since President Poopy Pants rode his golden escalator down.

I think it goes without saying that in pretty much *any* other state of employment she would have been fired long ago for her immensely unprofessional and inappropriate conduct.

This speaks to how political norms are evolving behavior that once might’ve disqualified someone is now barely a speed bump, and that shift says a lot about where our discourse and accountability standards are heading.

Funny to compare the Smith testimony with this while the GOP tries to scream about DOJ weaponization while they: can’t keep prosecutors who refuse to prosecute political enemies, illegally appoint prosecutors who will, and can’t get indictments against Trump’s political enemies.

  7. talk-spontaneously on

Bondi’s screeching was Real Housewives of Orange County level of trashy lol.

She is a deeply disturbed woman.

  8. I had the Jekyll and Hyde thought a few moments before it was said…

Schizophrenic and/or bipolar…she should seek mental health support

But if you listen, closely, and get past the theatrics…she gave it away

Biggest tell was the USAG gloating about the stock market. She knows the optics of federal agents and agencies being weaponized are good for business.

Not so great for us and our rights.

  9. Her job is to protect her boss. They will have to incriminate him over her dead body.

  10. Is Chris Hayes still pretending that we live in a remotely same political environment?

  11. Not under a guy thats been impeached twice. Dude feels he’s invincible and cries if he gets any kind of no to him.

  12. Abstract__Reality on

    Stunned? Really?

Bondi went up there and did exactly what she was hired to do. Deny and deflect to protect the Epstein class.

  13. Intro-Nimbus on

The problem is that the Epstein administration is not sane.
And those that voted for it is insane too.

  14. Megaphonestory on

The bribe money Trump collects will trickle down to her. She’s all in.

  15. SnooPears2373 on

The fact that this is normalized is why ever Dem should be using the pedo protector messaging on every interview — regardless of whether the interview is about Epstein, air pollution, or the puppy bowl.

Just for once Dems, play by the rules the GOP has been setting for three decades now.

They (the GOP) can stop all this. They won’t. So they should pay the price on their inaction.

    FAFO pedo protectors.

I don’t understand how or why she is allowed to get away with this kind of disrespectful behavior.

The purpose of Bondi in that moment was to de-legitimise congressional hearings. It’s just another attack against the institutional power of elected bodies, and a consolidation of power in executives. Study how democracies become autocracies. This shit goes back to the Roman Empire. The first few years of Augustus’s reign were the Republic still being under the illusion it was a Republic. By the time he died and Tiberius inherited his power, there was exceedingly little of that illusion left.

If you can waltz into a congressional hearing, attack elected representatives, ignore decorum, ignore the rules of conduct, ignore process, and WALK OUT WITH YOUR JOB INTACT then the point is made that nothing that happened in that room actually matters. That’s the message from the Trump administration to the American people.

People have a tendency to describe this political climate as „insane“. That doesn’t have enough descriptive value. It doesn’t explain anything. Why is what is happening, happening? The above is why. She was sent in there to break the process. She did.

When the leader of the country regularly says insane things, and refuses to ever apologize, it’s not surprising his lackeys act the same way. He sees that behavior as strong.

  19. EmployAltruistic647 on

In any same political climate, USA and Israel would have been ostracized

  20. madbiscotti on

The requisite here is shame, which none of these people are capable of feeling

  21. Historical_Bend_2629 on

She is very stupid not to resign. Public opinion will not be kind after she willingly chooses to be a lightning rod for corruption and disgrace.

  22. PropofolMargarita on

Chris Hayes is dogshit. He had Susan Sarandon on in 2016 saying Clinton was more dangerous than Trump. He elevated the Tara Reade accusations against Biden. Why is he surprised by this? He helped make this our reality

  23. Pacific_Grim_ on

Nah, she’ll stick around because she’s a fucking pedo like the rest of these pigs destroying our country. All while the American people just sit back on watch it all happen.

  24. She really showed she was psychotic when she laughed at the congresswoman’s grandfather dying in the holocaust. She was so pleased with herself she couldn’t hold it back. Despicable.

  25. Tony_Cheese_ on

Isnt she like one of two DOJ employees? And the other one was a J6 insurrectionist who got pardoned? What even is our government anymore?

  26. ChantilyAce on

How she can sit up there and claim to be offended, as a Christian, while protecting pedophiles and ignoring the victims who were preyed upon, is beyond the pale. Only a soulless ghoul could show such disdain for those women. Karma can’t come soon enough.

  27. We all need to stop thinking that they’re going to just magically do the right thing. Our government continues to fail to hold accountable the people that are destroying livelihoods.

  28. She can’t and won’t.

Congress is still acting on Trumps behalf so they’re not going to impeach her. She knows what’s in those files and how damning they really are.

If she steps down, whoever Trump nominates is going to be raked over coals about transparency with the files and will likely immediately be in hot water if they fail to do so, limiting who Trump could pick to run damage control.

She’s counting on the mid-terms being rigged on Trumps behalf, so Congress can finally shut everything down and make this go away when we ascend Trump to just shy of a king and free to determine what he feels should and should not happen.

  29. CanWeTalkEth on

None of them have any incentive to do anything but double down.

Shame isn’t in play these days, Donald proved that himself. Deny, ignore, bully, move on.

She’s at the very top. Why would she resign in disgrace rather than draw a paycheck in disgrace?

  30. SouthEastSmith on

Funny, I seem to remember a lot of AGs that didnt have that sense either.

  31. Republicans dont resign anymore. There is no shame. No falling on swords.

They do, however, throw each other under busses all the time, which can be entertaining.

  32. awesomedan24 on

Her job is to be the Ticketmaster scapegoat, absorb all the hate to deflect heat from Trump for appointing his own personal lawyer as Attorney General instead of an impartial civil servant. As evil and sociopathic as she is, she is doing exactly what is being asked of her and Trump would only appoint another one to serve him personally. Trump and Congress are equally to blame for her running rampant.

  33. In any sane political climate Trump would have been deemed unfit for office a thousand times over for any number of things.

  34. In a remotely sane political climate? It has been suggested that the President of the United States shit himself in front of the press corps, in the Oval Office, behind the resolute desk. We’ve passed sane political climate when we started electing convicted felons.

  35. And the cult claps and cheers thinking this is a „win“ and not understanding this fucks them over too.
