This is the first time I hear about tikkupulla. I’m a native Finn.

Kilju would deserve a place there but I do not want to rip that image from Reddit. No other Kilju pics available 😬

Sour milk isn’t a Finnish only delicacy. Soured milk products of various viscosities exist in all cultures that consume milks.

Missing Karjalanpaisti, tilliliha and makaronilaatikko.

I had a poor friend who got dinner at my place on a Sunday and mom had made a meatloaf, so he asked if he couldn’t come back the next Sunday for dinner. Of course, and my mom made a stew of liver for the next weekend and he was so shy but said ”I really liked the meatloaf but this is…something else”
Since that day my mom stopped doing her maksaastew and everyone was happy.

Needs rye bread. Also, every single finn has had blueberry soup when sick.

piimä = buttermilk – not a completely Finnish thing. Not sour milk (well yeah it is, but it’s not like they’re drinking milk gone bad).

I am updating the full list at [Finnish Delicacies](https://vibeloop.app/l/finnish-delicacies)
I think i would consider maybe 2 or 3 out of these a delicasy
Lohikeitto? Loimulohi? Kalakukko? Sahti? Riimiliha? Särä? Rönttönen? Karjalanpiirakka? Rosvopaisti?
