I don’t even trust Americans that I meet while travelling. While intellectually I know that probably most are fair and decent people; I ultimately decide it just isn’t worth the risk. And I know that I’m not alone.

When the world sees the US jailing and perp walking Trump’s regime. They will be back. Trump will probably be deceased and his family will move to Romania to avoid prosecution.
Just living in Florida won’t give them the protection they now get – it will be much different as finally the Republican/Trump party disintegrates.
