The US betrayed Ukraine and Europe
It is important to notice that a significant part of the military aid the Europeans give is actually American-made. Paid for by Europe, but not made in Europe.
Good spend money.
And about a third of it comes from just the eight small Nordic and Baltic countries.

Today someone from Portugal, speaking about the worse rains ever recorded in the country, told me: “recovery will be immensely expensive. I think the EU will have to help. They gave so much money to Ukraine, it is certainly possible to help Portugal due to the floods”.
I froze. Both things are totally unrelated, and I also know this person is a big supporter of Ukraine. But I feel like I’m seeing the future and how the gigantic financial support to Ukraine might be manipulated into the populist discourse if the EU won’t be obviously and loudly present to support members states in situations like this.
And i still see people shitting on the E.U. or saying we’re doomed without america…
Great to see Europe stepping up to the plate. And not just this, there are a whole host of initiatives currently in progress to reduce our dependence on the USA: Defence, Tech, Finance, etc.
Europe will come out of this stronger.

Not sure why Ukraine is still doing Trump’s bidding if US support is so low. Starlink and SIGINT?
Zelensky is naive still trying to negotiate with Trump.
He got his mineral deal, he does not care anymore. He should have made the deal instead with Europe, who is actually supporting him.
Instead he is attacking Europe for not doing enough and a.slicking Trump and thanking him for doing nothing.
