You’ll never be able to top that shocker of an ending.

One of the few times I didn’t see it coming.

Of all the King remakes to tackle, this is not the right one. Let’s see a modern take on Christine. The Mist was perfect. Don’t touch it Flanagan!

The Mist is now a classic. Don’t remake classics it never ends well. Just make the Langoliers.

We don’t need another one. They just made a mini-series too. We didn’t need that.

  5. There’s was a tv series in between those 19 years that was honestly pretty solid. Just saying, the headline is being pretty disinginuous

I enjoy Flanagan (Doctor Sleep Directors Cut is one of my favs of the last decade), but why is he so attached at the hip to Stephen King stories?

Mike Flanagan needs to move on from Stephen King. But having said that The Mist is the good opportunity to show different types of monsters and creatures which can be cool.

  8. I wish they continued the tv show version on Netflix…. I’ll give this a go.

  9. I find it hard to believe that Flanagan would just adapt the book directly again. He must know how rock solid the first movie is. I’m hoping he takes this in a different direction from the events at the grocery store.

  10. Hated hated hated the end of the film. There, I said it. Hopefully this new film won’t make the same “improvement”. Never watched it again after seeing it in theaters the first time. The ending completely ruined it for me, and I loved the source material.

That headline is ridiculous. Makes it sound like the article saying the film itself was bad not the ending being devastating emotionally to the viewer

  12. Look man, enjoy Flannigans work a ton. Hope his Dark Tower sees the light of day.

But whooooo…… he gonna try Shawshank next?

Tell him to do some Koontz. I’d love a new Intensity or Strange Highways.

    Or some new King.

Wait.. is he still doing Revival?
