      It’s frustrating to see this disparity. It feels like there’s a double standard in how justice is served depending on where you are.

      The Democrats have spent the last 30 years being told they have to be the „nice guy“ in American politics and are in general terms weak and ineffective

      The Republicans long ago traded whatever principles they used to have in service of the more basic doctrine „might makes right“

      They know they are hypocrites and do not care.

      Honestly, it feels like the U.S. just has a different set of rules for the powerful. They can get away with anything. This just shows how systemic corruption runs deep in the U.S. It’s disheartening but not surprising.

      Because the perpetrator of the largest Medicare fraud in history is a sitting senator. Because the leadership of the pathetic excuse for an opposition party is sitting on their hands while women and kids are being abused in ICE detention as record numbers of people died in detention.       All 3 branches of the U. S. government are being run by saboteurs who will do the chief executive’s bidding. The normal system of checks and balances has been destroyed.

      This became possible because Mitch McConnell blocked judicial nominations, the nominees who then got onto the Supreme Court lied in order to carry out their agenda, and Attorney General Merrick Garland refused to do his job and convict Trump when he had the chance. And of course, craven Republicans who are afraid to anger the felon-in-chief.

      Mainstream media is barely covering it. It’s independent journalists and smaller outlets in the US trying to make a dent.

      There’s so much more coverage about the Guthrie kidnapping than the latest Epstein revelations, or will to hold anyone in the club accountable.
