The disconnect between wall st and main st is showing. I’ll bet about 34% of the population is in the stock market

Seems reasonable now that even the uninformed are realizing that tariffs are a huge added tax on each of us. For a time the importing corporations were eating the tax but now more and more of them are passing those costs on to us as increased costs of the goods we buy.

Anyone approving of him doesnt actually approve they just believe his lies. If you showed them Trumps numbers and told them they were from Biden or Obamas term they would agree it looks awful and the economy wasnt doing well. Then when you told them you lied those are actually the current numbers under trump they would jump through hoops to justify it and say its all good.

Idk how anyone can see massive layoffs, prices on ANYTHING, the chaos and division around us etc and think that the country is doing well by any means.

People realize that what we are being told by the White House doesn’t match our household economy.

That 34% is going to be the hardest people to convince, because they are the people with MAGA tinted glasses on that have their entire personality invested in Trump being seen as a success.

On edit, it probably also includes so very wealthy people who are perfectly happy with Trump putting his thumb on their scales.

  5. Even after the zeitgeist moves past Trump his cult will still have millions of true believers. If you still approve of him after all this then nothing will get through to them. This is going to be a serious problem for however much longer this farce of a country goes on. I can’t wait until it collapses I’ve already figured out my warlord name. Warlordong the Invincible Schlong. What do you think?
