This is surely hyperbole. They can’t really be that backwards thinking and detached from reality, can they?

Nope, not hyperbole. And yes, they are that backwards thinking. It’s the trucker convoy 2.0. From the Alberta Prosperity Project website:

> Sovereignty concerns extend from infringements on basic rights and freedoms, such as during the recent public health crisis and with proposed legislative changes. Albertans are also resistant to the perceived erosion of the moral and ethical foundations of governance.

When this fails, and I’m confident it will, I hope the treasonous scumbags leading this are run out of the country.
