Yes, very close to reality.
I am sorry, are those on the hill still supporting ICE, anti-science agendas, pushing intolerance against LGBTQ, and not calling for higher taxes on the wealthy? The systems are dividing us for sure, but the division is not the same. Only one of these two is still actively supporting, and not impeaching, despite having control of Congress, a literal child rapist.

The GOP wants to destroy this country and hand it over to the billionaires directly. They aim to bring back slavery without explicitly labeling it as such; that’s kind of their goal. Meanwhile, they ensure that the richest people pay less than zero percent in taxes.
Democratic leadership wants the status quo; they also want the wealthy to retain everything, but they believe in some guardrails to prevent total collapse. The worst part is that Democratic leadership recognizes that what the GOP is doing is wrong, yet it temporarily pleases their wealthy donors. Additionally, Democratic leadership believes in capitalism and the system itself, while doing nothing to protect it and simply hoping that the system will eventually rebalance itself.

What if I have no desire to „unite“ with a large if not majority percentage of my fellow citizens who I genuinely believe (not along party lines) to be evil, or at the very least intentionally & knowingly immoral AND at the same time have no desire to lick the boots of our overlords?
