      Acting ain’t gonna help here. War and politics may have a lot in common, but only one is like a circus. Acting is probably a bad word here.

      Macron shoulda focus on domestic policies. France is sprinting towards debt default, and is sprinting fast

      In 2025 size of EU economy was basically equal to US… and bigger than China. So stop pretending that we are not World Power! We are and have been for a while now.

      But it’s not a world power, it is many small countries. It could only become a world power by subordinating the little countries to one of the bigger ones – France for example?

      This has been France’s fantasy for generations, to become important again by being at the head of a united Europe. And this is exactly why the British didn’t trust the EU and wanted to leave – it was short-sighted, but not entirely unreasonable.

      Europe already is, it just likes to block each other and argue amongst itself too much to act as one unified block. Just make statements constantly, then behind closed doors do the opposite.

      I mean Ukraine is only ever talking to the yanks regarding organising peace negotiations – we are not even at the table for said negotiations. How are we ever going to project the „world power” facade when we can’t even lead negotiations of the war that is happening on our own continent??

      Id argue the EU has been. There is so much criticism but i think they have been much smarter in the way they have responded, knowing that the biggest goal is gaining the time needed to stand on their own feet.

      It is too late. Im a Taiwanese living in the UK and previously lived in Germany. The longer I live in Europe the more I agree to that Europe is just an old museum. So outdated so stagnant stuck to the past. Europe is already very irrelevant in Asia. How it could be a world power? Is there any Asian country Europe is more relevant than USA?

      says the guy who has been in power forever and is on the way out the door in a few months. What exactly has he been doing for the past decade to make that happen? What exactly is he waiting for to demonstrate leadership or ability to wield power?? His vanload of troop deployment to Greenland? Getting ousted by various military powers in Africa? „Promising“ to „contribute“ to someone else’s „security guarantees“ for Ukraine. More and more of these rousing speeches? (Maybe he should go on a world speaking tour of impotence with the similar grandiose but actionless Canadian PM Carney *“The Coalition of the Doomed Tour*“ )

      I am sure potential adversaries are living in fear of a man with a few months left of his political career with a nuclear program from the late 70s who was groomed by his high school drama teacher in his early teens, and is documented to be currently physically abused by *her*. Xi, Putin, etc. fear that type of power at the table .

      Coming from Macron, this sounds like a bad joke. Although the idea is generally sound.
