Someone shot a Raven and Buzzard and conspired to shoot a hen harrier and was only fined £1,520. It’s not enough to enforce, but at least the guy is forever banned from being a gamekeeper again.
I personally would get rid of these shooting grounds altogether, but it is possible to coexist with these animals. A hen harrier only takes the baby grouse, for example.

So before they shoot they need to identify the type of animal it is, then if it’s the right one they are allowed to kill it whilst if it isn’t then they are supposed to let it go? So the animals entire survival is based on what animal it is? Doesn’t really seem very fair now does it?
All of it should be banned. The only birds that should ever be shot are the clay variety.
