No, Trump is absolutely right. As far as he and his family are concerned, their economic development has been wonderful. According to Forbes, Donald Trump’s personal fortune grew by around $3 billion in 2025. Trump couldn’t care less that things aren’t going so well economically for the average American, as long as things are going well for him.

He said he loves the poorly educated, not the poor, he couldn’t give two shits about them.

He doesn’t see anyone but himself. He enriched himself by 5 billion off the presidency and that’s all he knows. He doesn’t give a shit outside of that, hence why he is happy with the economy.
As an economist, I have always thought this is incredibly stupid: elevating a businessman to our highest office. And Republicans have somehow found the most corrupt one. The public sector serves the public good, regardless of profit. It’s public administration. There’s a reason we don’t have private firefighting forces anymore. It’s why we have a public interstate highway system. The other thing is, an arch capitalist does not see the government as something to be made more efficient and work for the „forgotten man“; it’s something to be exploited for his financial benefit and the financial benefit of people he can get something out of. How is it not clear by this point?
I’m the night manager at a grocery store, writing this on my lunch break. My file guy – who makes and updates shelf tags – was just talking to me about five minutes about how not a single tag tonight has been a price decrease. The new “ member sale“ prices are, in every case, just the old tag’s regular price. So items that were regularly priced at 3.99 are now „on sale“ for 3.99. Meanwhile, labor is so bad no member of the night crew, including myself, is scheduled for more than 3 days next week.

It’s good for him and his OligarchPals when regular people are suffering and desperate. Us losing our livelihoods, homes, and communities and selling our bodies and parts benefits them. His regime is robbing the nation and is stripping away the hard-won protections for workers, consumers, and communities that „get in the way“ of even more obscene historic profits for the Pedo-in-Chief and friends.

It’s so frustrating that most 2024 Trump voters listed „the economy“ as their number 1 issue when deciding who to vote for. All the while every single economist in America was saying how Trumps plan was as bullshit and would only make things worse. Now those voters act surprised that the economy is getting worse
Every trump cult member I hear from tells me the price of gas is down to $1.75 where they live and their 401k has gone up 200% in the past year. It’s almost like they live in an alternate reality.
