Buddy, it’s not the prison that made you irrational. It’s the internet.

  2. Dude killed 51 people on video? A confession doesn’t matter, he’s going to be in jail forever

  3. Ngl. Watched a few minutes of the actual shooting video. Dude is a fking sociopath.

  4. I’m no therapist, but I’m pretty sure the killing of dozens of people happened before jail. And no one can dispute that was the ultimate act of irrationality. Therefore: jail did not cause the „irrationality“.

Pleading guilty was the only rational choice with the amount of evidence against him, including his own video of the killings.

Irrational is polite word. He is psycho-lunatic that cared not other people’s lives but only his.

  7. I mean, what is his expected outcome here? Does he think he can just walk out of prison on bail? I doubt even if released he could safely exist outside of guarded walls.

They should play baby shark in his cell on full blast on repeat every single day for the rest of his prison time

I asked myself, what’s his goal, here?

    He live-streamed the attacks himself.

I think he believes his shitty message of white supremacy won’t spread as well now that he “irrationally” admitted he was guilty of doing what he already LIVE-STREAMED ON FACEBOOK FOR THE WORLD TO SEE.

It’s basically a stalling tactic so he can stay alive and “relevant” longer. Bury this awful creature in the history of evil so we can all understand the dangers of certain lines of thinking.

  10. That is just .. irrational. This scumbag shot up the mosque FIRST before he is put in prison.

  11. “Wee wee waaah waaah I blatantly murdered 50 innocent people in cold blood including children but you guys should have known that I was a wittle bit too upset about being in jail to answer for my crimes so now it doesn’t count waaaahhhh”

Fuck that guy. Don’t hear one bit of remorse in his rhetoric.

  12. The fair term of imprisonment should be fifty one life sentences, served consecutively.

All he wants more media attention for his foul deed. I listened on Radio to some of his lawyer’s claims on his behalf. They’re superficial, frivolous bullshit. Inevitably the court will reject them. Then there’ll be the appeal.

This media freak show is costing us, the Kiwi taxpayer, millions The court should find his claims frivolous and castigate his lawyers for bring such inane nonsense before the court and direct them to not do so again.

    Christchurch resident here.

He’s quite possibly doing this for attention/company. I’ve heard from someone who works in the justice system that his contact is limited to six individuals, who were all trained by people who dealt with Anders Breivik.

Either way I hope he stays locked up.

This was all a plot by the left wing government at the time

They knew about him and his plans and so did the agency’s involved

This was all a plot so the left could remove guns from in NZ

Never forget what the left labour government did

This is why they have not been back in power since

New Zealander here. The only response the judge should have toward this guy (after hearing his appeal which is his right under our justice system) is a big fat middle finger and a trip back to jail.

He’s pure evil. He’s a disgusting creature that should rot in misery contemplating the wall for the rest of his life.

I can’t stand the thought of this person or having to read or hear about him again. A kid in my son’s class was killed that day, and his father badly injured. That family is always in my thoughts.

Justice is important, but this evil man has filmed his actions and been tried & sentenced. We don’t want to keep reliving that afternoon, and he is toying with his victims with stunts like this.

Who is representing him legally? He wouldn’t have state funding for this. Who the fuck thinks its a good thing to pick this up
