Zusammenstellung der myanmarischen (birmanischen) Junta und kollaborativer Milizen, die gegen die Kachin-Unabhängigkeitsarmee und die Arakan-Armee kämpfen (7. Januar bis 7. Februar 2026)
The KIA and AA are two of the strongest anti-government militias in Myanmar/Burma. The former was established in 1961; the latter in 2009. KIA first supplied AA with their Chinese rifle clones, but AA receives support from the UWSA. AA controls the majority of Rakhine State, except for Sittwe, Kyaukphyu, and Cheduba; they also aid the newer PDF rebels in bordering regions such as Bago. KIA has collaborated with PDF in not just Kachin State, but also Sagaing Region and Shan State.

For someone like me who doesn’t know much about this war, how is the situation in Myanmar? Good or bad? Is there any possibility for this war to end soon? How is the country overall?
There are so many factions fighting that it is difficult to follow things
Thanks
