That isn’t fair. You should show us (Europeans) working and paying our taxes to support Ukraine’s budget and buying weapons through various initiatives. Europe is doing more to help Ukraine than anyone and our politicians are working to prevent Krasnov from straight-up giving Ukraine to Russia.

I’m giving Ukraine as much money and time as I can. I’m volunteering weekly. Sure, I don’t know the horrors of the war, but I’m trying to do my part to help.
Grgur2 on
On one hand… Okay. We could do more as in open conflict with Russia.
On the other hand Europe is doing the most for Ukraine with money, weapons, hosting refugees, training troops…. We have hosted refugees for a year at my house, we pak monthly to UA army and charities and while I could probably join the UA army despite my ilnesses and kids I don’t feel like I do shit.

Ragebait probably, or maybe even reverse psychology to antagonize people in order to endanger aid.
In any case as many have pointed out here, we are doing a lot. For some it will be never enough, but we are not sitting idly, on the contrary.

I mean, I totally get it, that we have it comfortable, but we are still supporting you like no one Supports anyone else.
Has there ever been a war where one side got multiple houndreds of billions of Dollar worth of military/humanitarian support?

Yeah no this is just insulting.
We want to help. We can’t rush to the frontlines. Donations and taxes is what everyone does.

Guilt-tripping the only people who actually care about your country’s survival is a weird way to garner support and be thankful for what has already been given.
Rambaz_69 on
Any European, American, or person from any other country who feels that their government is not doing enough for Ukraine can easily take the initiative and donate something themselves. There are plenty of channels on YouTube that regularly organize fundraisers. For example, “Jake Broe” has already organized six fundraisers, and the money is being used to buy cars and equipment for Ukrainian soldiers. I’ve already collected six badges there. He’s apparently planning another fundraiser in the near future. So don’t complain, take action.

Of course, the disparity in our lives is vastly different. Of course, we want Ukrainians to be able to live their lives the way they want to. Of course, more should be done to help defend Ukrainians. These are truths.

This is nothing but russian proganda working as intended. Ukrainians are supposed to feel anger towards their allies and supporters while the supporting Europeans are supposed to feel betrayed, their effort and good will being disrespected and devalued. Don’t fall for this stupid narrative pushed by this image.

What the hell are you talking about – literally a month ago a humongous power plant was transported from lithuania to ukraine in one of a largest of its kind logistical operation – capable of providing heat to up to a million people – funded by europeans!
Now, of course more can be done, but maybe nuff with the bullshit?
My country paid almost 3 percent of its gdp. This image is pretty provocative.

I’m an American. I stand with Ukraine. I have donated about $10k worth of drones as well as body armor directly to the Ukrainian special forces. I am still a refugee sponsor for my ex-boyfriend’s grandparents who are from Mariupol to come to the US. I bought his full round airplane tickets to pick them up and their airplane tickets to move to California with him.
I can only give so much. I am only one person out of many. This is a biased image that causes someone to think that if one doesn’t give everything, then they gave nothing at all.
So, is the pro Russian source this comes from suggesting Europe should roll in with their militaries to kick Russia out?

I would not share this – it came from a Russian bot account, 1st time I saw it. But I have to react: What I see is that the CITIZENS of the EU are firmly on Ukraine’s side. We are glad that Ukrainians are in our countries, and they are a net-positive for our countries (data shows this).
When it comes to material support, Slovak citizens fundraised **1 million euros** in 2 weeks to fund heating generators for Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Chernihiv, Sumy and the Sumy region. Czechs (and Slovaks) raised **over 6 million** for the same cause. That is despite our shameless pro-Kremlin governments going on about how the average Joe is poor and should only focus on themselves.
I personally know people who fund the Ukrainian military and medics every month. I am one of them. Despite our horrible politicians, solidarity with Ukrainians is still alive and well. Internet comment warriors and Kremlin-paid actors show you a distorted reality, their wishful thinking. Let’s not give the antagonist more fuel. Let us instead focus on the unwavering support of the EU citizens towards Ukraine. thanks.

I’m from Ukraine, and I want to say something that’s easy to forget in our dark reality: your support matters deeply. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you.
War takes an immense toll on our people. There’s no end in sight. Today I had just 2.5 hours of electricity – hopefully tomorrow brings the same. The cold, the darkness, the constant uncertainty – it’s relentless. I’m not complaining though. So many have it far worse than me, and those fighting on the front lines are enduring horrors I can barely comprehend.
It’s hard not to feel the weight when we see how the rest of the world lives – with heat, with light, with the basic necessities we’re being denied. But here’s what matters: we’re still standing. We’re still fighting. And we can only do this because of you.
When despair creeps in, when it feels like the world has moved on, please remember – we’re still here. We still need you. Your support, your attention, your solidarity. Don’t give up on us.
From those of us who still remember why we fight: thank you!
