    1. Has anyone seen the stats on this? I wanna know whether this happening is really as common as it seems or whether it’s just more sensationalised compared to male officers.

      edited for spelling

    2. > One message from Winstanley read: **“I’m literally praying to have your babies“**, while another stated: „Life starts now, baby. Every sacrifice I make I do so I can be with you.“

Let me pitch the reboot of _How I Met Your Mother_

Another rare example has hit my brain waves.

Can we fucking gender segregate these places again please.

Although I used to just see these as a bit of a laugh, it is worth noting that a good man, Lenny Scott, lost his life because one of these silly girls worked with a killer

I always find it strange that they are so often conventionally attractive women, you would think they have their pick of the bunch outside the prison walls.

I hears from an ex prison officer that lots of women try to get close to prisoners jailed for rape and toilet behaviour due to some fantasy of having rough sex with them. They want actual rapists to fuck them. Those women need some serious mental help.

    6. Not trying to be offensive here but I think every woman I’ve seen who has a mugshot for shagging a prisoner has lip fillers. They should start screening for that in interviews.

    7. would love to see some statistics around this, feels way too sensationalised in the news

I always feel like Fiona Apple repeating “there’s no hope for women” over and over again when I read shit like this, what the fuck are we even doing

    9. Man = creeping, predatory, twisted, evil

Woman = infatuated, mislead, lost, enamoured.

Funny how the language does 180 degrees depending on the gender of the perpetrator

But the Prison service still wants us to believe that the drugs and phones are getting into prisons in tennis balls thrown over the walls or drones.

I think a lot of the blame lies on the prisons themselves, offenders can be highly manipulative and should not be allowing people a lot of alone time with them and doing better vetting on who they are letting in and stricter rules.

When I had worked there (not as an officer) it was drilled into us from the start, you make yourself look as unattractive as possible; hair pulled back, next to no make up, baggier clothes. Even in that state, you still got compliments and you’d need to very strict with them about how it was unacceptable. But just before I was leaving I was seeing younger and younger staff being employed, the guidelines on appearance basically out the window and boundaries lessening. A recipe for disaster for an under resourced job role. I’m not excusing her as she has a responsibility to not abuse her position of power but I think these are the reasons we keep seeing this and will continue to rise.

    12. Male prison officers for male prisons. Why they have anything but is shocking.

Hiring younger women with less life experience to be around manipulative and devious men was never going to end well.

I’m 30 years old, can anyone older than me tell me when it became the norm to employ dainty little women as a prison guard?

I know women have been prison guards for a long time because a friend i mmof mine growing up had one as a mother, and i know for a fact she could do damage. So this isnt a slight against women, but when did the physical standard drop so low?

Exactly why women were not historically employed to work in mens prisons. It’s wasn’t an intentionally discriminatory employment policy it was just common sense.
