So he has got a point to his anger – Specsavers botched the test, he couldn’t get his driving qual and lost his job.

However, rather than going through the courts, surely a simpler option would have been to immediately get a second test, get a clean bill of health and then just ask Specsavers for a refund or realistic compensation before numbers like 200k start getting bandied around? It doesn’t sound like this guy has been very proactive.
