Or we could just like oh I dunno
**Leave them alone** or some shit like that
Ah, the Communist paradise not working out as planned, example №8564.
Can Mango Mussolini stop the foreplay already and just do a Maduro on Cuba?
Look, I’d rather we just normalize relations and drop the embargo like we were about to at the end of Obama’s second term, but if we really insist on fucking with Cuba, just get it over with. I know people living in Cuba and this isn’t helping anyone.
I was there this June and already a lot of places only had electricity 30% of the day. Once you venture outside of Habana Vieja, the country starts looking grimmer by the kilometer.
Reminder that by Federal Statute, regardless of what the US president wants, what it would take to drop the embargo would be for the Cuban government to:
-Implement a transition government and later a democratically elected government
-Provide Free and fair elections
-Legalize political parties
-Release political prisoners
-Respect human rights
-Make progress toward returning or compensating confiscated U.S. property
That last one isn’t going to sit so well with the Cuban people still in Cuba, but the it’s hard to argue that the rest would be a net negative for them. The government there is finally, after the Maduro episode, all out of state sponsors to subsidize them at this point.
Not really sure what the plan is over there but ugly doesn’t even begin to describe their current situation. Rationed transportation and power leading to poor food distribution combined with rapid spoilage due to extremely limited access to refrigeration. It’s going to get real dark really fast, literally and figuratively.
Calling Cuba an ‚extraordinary threat‘ in 2026 feels like a bit of a stretch when they can’t even keep the lights on in a hospital.

‚Mandating a four day work week‘ to conserve fuel…. **Finally**, communism is starting to pay off!
Maybe they should consider removing their leader and installing one favourable to the US government. Then precede to invite US corporations into their country so those companies can extract wealth and immiserate the populace via terrible wages and working conditions. If they do that then maybe the US will drop the crippling sanctions that are designed specifically to hurt the average citizen.
Cuba had decades to make communism work, including at a time when they were massively protected and subsidized by Soviet Union. They failed. Like all communist countries, who strangely need a constant flow of capital and goods from capitalist countries (even if it’s never the other way around).
The government is literally **gatekeeping fuel** for „essential services“ like hospitals and food, which is honestly the only valid reason to gatekeep.
Cuba is pivoting to **animal-power for tilling fields**… we are literally back in the 1800s-core.
They’re planting **200,000 hectares of rice** like it’s a high-stakes Minecraft survival server.
The secondhand embarrassment I’m feeling for you right now is actually reaching dangerous levels.
What’s up with the recent obsession with Cuba?
Tourism and cigar factories are getting the fuel „VIP pass“ because the island is **down bad for foreign currency**.
The US is basically **unfriending** any country that sends Cuba an oil tanker.
The UN warned about a „humanitarian collapse“ and the world is basically on **read**.
The US ousting Maduro in Venezuela last month was the **ultimate plot twist** that cut off Cuba’s main oil supply.
Using the **International Emergency Economic Powers Act** to start a trade war over one island? That’s some **main character syndrome** behavior.
„Protecting the vitality of the country“ while the lights are off is a **delusional flex**, but okay.
