Didn’t SocDems have the opportunity to go into govt after the last election but said no? Would’ve thought that’s how to change shit like the greens did but I guess not

I’m in the Netherlands and theres a national hotline for reporting vacant property cos of the housing crisis. Not sure if it’s helping much, but at least they’re trying something.

Not one workable idea to fix housing crisis.
Neutrality per referendum but ignores Russian hacking hse/flying drones over Dublin airport.
Cares more about israel/palestine than fixing irish issues.
The orginal point of soc dems is long dead.

Regardless of the topic i think she has to be the weakest public speaker I’ve ever heard. Why the hell did they go with her as party leader? She’s like a teenager reading a poorly written speech at school assembly.

Only 450 people attended their conference. So few, they need to merge with the Labour Party to try to get some traction

I think they can make some ground by talking about housing. However, while they pretend that mass immigration has nothing to do with the housing crisis they will not be taken seriously as a party that can actually be the Senior Partner in a government.

Appreciate Cairns saying this. SD seem to be the only truly progressive opposition party at the moment. Just wish the minor parties would join them
