      My heart breaks for this family, I can’t wrap my head around this type of cruelty to an elderly woman.

      According to TMZ, LE thinks that the ransom messages received are legitimate. I hope Nancy is returned safely.

      The phrasing in this video is extremely ominous and implies that Nancy is dead. From the fact that at no point did they request that the kidnappers return her safely and not hurt her, to the way they say “This is valuable to us” and “only we we will have peace”. That is not how you talk about a living person.

      Agree the wording is odd. Seems they believe her dead. She chose the word celebrate which is what a family does at a funeral, a celebration of life. Seemed like code words for the kidnapper. I hope the FBI gets the sob, too cruel

      There is nothing mentioned about her being returned safely…Zero doubt in my mind they’ve been informed she’s dead, and they’ve been asked for $$ to get their mother’s body back for a proper burial. This is horrifying, and everything about it smells wrong

      The Media should re-think making their hosts’ families and personal lives a part of the show, combined with info of their multi-million dollar contracts.

      I disagree with most of you. In my opinion, this means she is alive. They demanded proof of life and I think they must have gotten it, hence: paying the ransom.

      The wording is… Unusual, to say the least. 

      This is a request for a body.

      When she was first kidnapped the police said she had a pacemaker that was connected to her phone and watch, and somehow the pacemaker disconnected. It’s likely they looked up the pacemaker info and have a time of death. Just my 2c

      I hope this makes people review their home security systems; whether for themselves or loved ones. Two years ago I purchased a Reolink 7 camera system from Costco. NVR, night vision, audio, hard wired, no WiFi cams, no subscriptions. I’m pleased with the Reolink app. Installation is a chore but it’s some of the best money I’ve spent.

      Like most, I’m hoping for a positive ending to this soon …

      It’s so horrifying. I only ever see updates on reddit. I feel terrible I forget about it until it appears again. What a waking nightmare for them. 84 ffs… that’s just beyond cruel.

      I’m out of the loop on this, are we absolutely sure she didn’t just wander off? 84 year olds with dementia can just…wander off and get lost in the woods or somewhere else out of sight.

      The latest message must have contained specific info only Nancy & her kids would know or a photo/video. They are ready to pay, because it seems that there was proof of life? Or perhaps not, and they want her body to do a Celebration of Life? I hope she is still alive.

      IMO, they probably said “listen, she is dead, but we didn’t kill her. You have to believe that we didn’t kill her.” And that’s why their response statement included “We understand.” They may be hoping that they won’t be prosecute on murder charges, only kidnapping. Obviously not true, since their actions likely lead to her death, (even if it was from lack of medication) so they’re looking at manslaughter at least.

      They said nothing about “safe.” This sounds like they’ve been informed of her death and are saying they will pay for the return of her body, to give them peace.
