      I love Halle and think she’s brilliant in other films, but she was miscast as Storm and then not good in those films. The performance was laughable at the time and the character underserved. Nostalgia pushing to bring her back instead of pushing to get a proper Storm is crazy. We’re stuck in a cycle here that’s not satisfying

      I don’t mean to be racist when I say this, but the new aesthetic Black Panther created for Wakanda is so distinct and the way she portrayed the character wouldn’t work in the MCU, especially if she’s supposed to be the wife of the Black Panther. Definitely looking forward to seeing who they cast for Storm in the future if they tie her back to Wakanda, but the Fox version of Storm was less about the character and more about Halle Berry wearing leather bodysuit.

      She was a piss poor Storm but it’s not her fault. The writers of the movies she was in had no idea what they were doing. She doesn’t need to keep playing the character; there are other stronger actors to take over the role with better writing.

      I like Halle berry, but like other fans are saying, I’m not sure if she was the best storm.

      I dunno, maybe storm just isn’t transferable to live action. She always seemed so powerful in comics and cartoons, but a bit… underwhelming in movies. What do you all think?

      Definitely no diss on Halle but I think we need a stronger prescense to be Storm for anything following. She is a very important character in the X-Men and MCU in general and we need someone who can be that cast wise with just their presence. I don’t think most of these fits are worried about good scripts anymore (did they ever?) So a strong casting choice is needed to even get a percentage out of the character.
