Republicans will simply say this is a Democrat calling in to make their orange leader look bad.

The saddest part is how many people feel the same way but will never say it out loud.

Too little too late when all of this could have easily been avoided.

Rather than take their word for anything let them prove themselves at the ballot box by voting against their leader they worshipped at all our expense.

    >I’m sorry I voted to set fire to the house. I didn’t realize I would get burned.

-every MAGA who voted to destroy America

When one caller expresses regrets, I don’t think we can logically conclude that the same applies to all Trump voters.

Give John of New Mexico credit. He went ahead and publicly admitted his mistake, and it’s fair to say he sees Trump for what he is now. His words:

“This is not a decent man. This is not an honest man. He openly takes bribes. He’s pathetic as a president.”

Those who still flock to Trump will denounce him as a traitor and a plant, and many who oppose Trump will want to rub in the fact that he previously supported him.

I think it’s better to accept that the guy made a mistake, publicly admitted it, and wants to make amends. Encouraging others like him would help end this nightmare faster.

  7. Kind of a bit late for all that. It’s not like he just magically became like this this year, hell it’s not like conservatives in America became like this recently either. They’ve been doing evil shit for as long as most of us have been alive and despite all that you decided to vote for him after not only seeing what he’s previously done but also after being given a whole document on what he planned to do.

Frankly at this point there’s no forgiveness to be had on earth, the weight of what you supported should hang around your soul like an albatross for the rest of your life. Words are like nowhere near enough for literally voting for masked goons to tear families apart, you were definitely not *confused* about what the implications of that policy were.

Keep your apologies; they mean nothing.

What we need now is action, not words.

Well well. Someone’s mommy finally kicked their 30yo out of the house and they are experiencing life buying their own groceries for the first time.

  10. Honestly. Part of the lefts problem is responding this way. It makes people who regret their vote more unlikely to speak out about their regret. It makes it easier to just dig in. We should not make people feel like they will be attacked if they admit a mistake. They should be allowed to admit it, and be welcomed. It will allow more people to admit their mistake.

    a 3 time voter?

    apology NOT accepted.

one time, maybe. twice, less likely. three? needs some kind of atonement.

Alot of Trump voters got caught up in Trumps lies about bringing jobs back to America. There are alot of jobs done outside this country for businesses that exist in this country. But the problem was Trumps ideas of how to do this. Trump yelled tariffs and everybody who heard this solution had the ability to look up the definition and history of tariffs and they chose not to and ignored everybody telling them it’s a tax you pay. Then Trump yelled about mass deportation and they didn’t understand it would look like this, supposedly. Only jobs mass deportation is creating is for the ICE agents that are killing, terrorizing, and disappearing people. Oh yeah, firing a massive load of federal employees and getting rid of government departments doesn’t create jobs either.

Too little too late. How the fuck is this the line. His first term was full of abhorrent behavior.

  14. Seriously, how could they not know what a clown/monster/horror show they were voting for?

  15. Keep it coming. If you voted for this,  no need to tell. Come help defeat him and we got space for you

  16. Credit for admitting you were wrong but if this voter just votes R again next election whats the point?

  17. Has anyone checked in on Nicki Minaj? How’s she taking the ape tape I wonder

  18. “I didn’t vote for this” claims the people who voted for this 3 times and will vote for it a 4th time

Too late, trash human. You fucked us. It’s literally on you for ruining America. Hope you enjoy the pain and suffering you voted for.

  20. Honestly I don’t believe it lol there’s no way someone voted for him 3 times and regrets it now. We’ve had so much time and so many examples of who Donald trump is as a person and what his political movement meant.

  21. cabbages212 on

If you voted for him stfu and learn. No one wants to hear you realize how dumb you are and no one forgives you.

  22. People voted for Trump because they supported his cruelty, hatred, and willingness to hurt people they disagreed with. But now that he’s completely fucked the economy and turned the military against its own citizens, very few of them are starting to realize the cost of being blinded by hate. It’s just insanely infuriating that Conservatives need to be personally impacted by something terrible to develop empathy…and even then it’s more „I didn’t think I’d get hurt too“ rather than genuinely caring about other’s suffering.

  23. It’s a bit late to be repentent now. This man knew who Trump was in 2015 and watched covid kill thousands because Trump was incompetent, watched Trump attack BLM protesters and thought it was ok to vote for him again. watched Jan 6th and thought voting for him a third time was ok.
I should be compassionate and forgive him, I should accept his acknowledgement of wrong doing. But we’re so fucked now, there’s no going back. The country and the world will never be the same again. And I’m just so fucking angry at my fellow Americans that voted for this, wanted this chaos.
Until the entire Republican party is gone and left in the trash heap of history I won’t forgive these people.

Good. Welcome to the fight. Now it’s time to go to work getting the maga folks in your area out of office.

  25. I really do hope some of them realize they screwed up and at least do something to help unfuck this country…but I’m not holding my breath. He’s unpopular as shit and the rats are jumping ship.

Apology not accepted. We warned you the first time, yet you did it 2 more times. You voted for racism and bigotry, because he didn’t give you an economic plan, a healthcare plan, or any other solution. Just promised to go after immigrants.

You are the problem and your apology is not accepted.

Love to see cult members waking up and realizing they’ve been brainwashed. Wish we would see it more often, but we’ll take the few moments of clarity that we get.

    This is so difficult.

On one hand Im so relieved that they can finally see this whole episode for what it is and we can move on together.

On the other hand i cant stop asking how the hell it took them this long to figure it out? That Trump was garbage was crystal clear by midway through the primaries in 2015.

It was so easy to see if you weren’t seeing it that was on purpose. That may be more dangerous than even being dumb. Dumb can get the wrong answer by accident, this is seeking out the wrong answer on purpose.
