Why marry when you can see a new person every night with dating apps?
Who could have imagined that nobody wants to marry in an economy where it’s impossible to afford a house and raise kids for 90% of people
With economy as it is with rich only getting richer while poor are only getting poorer without any definite improvement in sight, poor people can’t afford to get married. They are working all the time with some living in a company dorm and some being homeless. Not enough money to go on a date.
It’s probably more accurate to say they feel they can’t get married rather than they don’t want to get married.
But are people like still having sex? Or are Japanese people just not even interested in that?
Another way of saying it is, 60% of non-married are not married by choice.
