For warm comfort food? I would go with Paprika Gryde. However, I am a sucker for Stegt Flæsk, and would probably order that 9 out of 10 times 🇩🇰

If you’re looking to maximize the wanting-to-lie-down-afterwards effect, then I think you’d better go with either *brændende kærlighed* or *stegt flæsk*. Both are mainly comprised of pork and potatoes.
*Brændende kærlighed* is mashed potatoes topped with crispy bacon and soft, caramelized onion, garnished with parsley and served with a side of pickled beetroot and Danish rye bread.
*Stegt flæsk* is strips of crispy, thick-cut bacon, served with boiled, peeled potatoes and a parsley sauce.
You can’t really go wrong on that list
All the parsley in the Stegt Flæsk makes it a salad. So its also the healthy choice
They’re all amazing in their own way.
I’m sad for you that you missed out on the porkcheeks this week, that is probably the best tasting of the list imo – but that doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy stegt flæsk, karbonader or biksemad 🙂

It has to be tarteletter, but all the online recipes will probably make it wrongly. Don’t listen to the cream enjoyer’s, the chicken is the primary taste of tarteletter and it will carry it – but you need a whole chicken.

Gule ærter is an awesome dish as well, however I actually prefer the dutch version, erwtensoepe.
You can never go wrong with a nice boller i karry. It won’t blow your mind, but it’s comforting.
Personally this weather makes me want enebærgryde so much.

Mørbradgryde is the dish I always associate with my grandmother and the long dark winter days. She made this often and now I make it as well and it’s the best meal in winter.

Good: Karbonader, brændende kærlighed & forloren hare.
Fine: Skinkeschnitzel (veal aka „kalveschnitzel“ is better)

Vi er i uge 6, og de braiserede kæber blev serveret tirsdag og onsdag. Næste uge tirsdag og onsdag serveres stegt flæsk fra klokken 17:30.
Jeg ved ikke hvad den mest traditionelle ret er der. Jeg er lidt skræmt over de syltede rødbeder til stegeflæsket.
Det er simpelthen en „ugens tirsdag og onsdags ret“ spiseseddel du har der. Du kan ikke vælge en fra listen, du kan vælge en uge og så er det det som du kan få udenfor standard menuen.
i don’t know how traditional pork jowl (svinekæber) is, but it’s my favorite stew-ish dish and i always end up in the sofa afterwards! 😀

Soups are incredibly underrepresented in Danish restaurants. It’s a staple in Danish cuisine as well as most other European countries, but is rarely seen in its traditional variations like gule ærter (yellow peas), which is a split pea soup, typically made on a pork or pork/beef base and has carrots and other root vegetables.
I don’t understand why soups are so underrepresented today considering they are pretty cheap to make, they taste incredible, and are easy to serve.

As much as Stegt Flæsk is so traditionally danish ( VERY much depending on how its made. it should be straight up crisp. Not that chewy stuff. And not flipped in eggs and crumbs first thank you )
Id go for Tarteletter as thats exactly the kind your great grandmother would make. Tarteletter if its chicken in aspargous. Not that peas and carrot shit.
Brændende kærlighed is delicious, fish fillets are also good but not particularly danish in my opinon
