Domestic and child abuse numbers would plummet if people had access to affordable housing. Throw in a universal income and you’d eradicate the majority of cases of ongoing abuse. So many people have to put up with it because they simply have nowhere to go and no way to live without their abuser.

Solicitors and support groups advice to claim domestic abuse claims which can be as small as fear. Define fear……disagreement? About kids?

It’s true. I’m 2.5 years in the system. You go through incredible amounts of trauma, people telling you that you won’t know yourself and that life will be so much better when in reality you’re shoved into a hotel room with no idea when you might get out.

    4. The fact that we can’t house victims fleeing domestic abuse quickly is an absolute disgrace. But we can build modular housing for people fleeing war. Make it make sense.

the local council did up a house, a nice lady and her kids moved in, then her ex comes along kicks in her front door, abuses her and set the house on fire, then it lay empty for a few more years. I often wonder if she’s safe and happy now.
