Just give the satellites what they want and no one gets hurt.
And if they do spot one, what the hell are we supposed to do about a dangerous asteroid without a mature space industry?
I feel like the solution to this problem is a moderately complex piece of software, not restricting space infrastructure.
Like we are currently able to do anything about dangerous asteroids?
Yeah, no, that’s not true at all. That’s like claiming an aircraft will hide asteroids. Just wait half a second and it’ll pass. You know where are ahead of time and when they’ll pass. It’s not rocket surgery.
