What type of RPG is this? To me it looks like an RPG-26, but if so, he seems to have been holding the launcher correctly. Could this possibly be a munitions malfunction instead of incorrect use?

The RPG-7 has an arming distance of 5-10 meters I think (around 15ft). I don’t think the actual round exploded? High probability of survival and minimal injury.

  3. Obviously I have no idea who this soldier was and what led up to this clip. But if I cut this guy some slack , I can assume that there was a mixture of adrenaline/combat shock, while possibly dealing with sleep deprivation if there hasn’t been a break in combat and action for the last few hours or days even.

I feel like an RPG is pretty intuitive you’d have to be borderline mentally challenged to fuck that up

i will never understand the need to mock people like that, I mean, I know russia is doing bad stuff, but god damn

I accidentally blast myself with RPG’s in BF6 when I get excited seeing an enemy tank roll by while I am in a trench or lower terrain part of the map.

I remember seeing this in Four Lions and thinking „No one can be that stupid and incompetent“

This looks like an RPG-26 which is flat on both ends and a small tab like structure on the front end of the tube. Though grainy, it looks like there is a tab on the side pointed in front of him suggesting he’s aiming it the right way. All the shrapnel landing around him and the way the tube appears to break looks like a catastrophic malfunction that blew the launcher apart on his shoulder

  9. It seems to have exploded in his hands rather than hitting something behind him. It took of his helmet completely.

I don’t really see the rpg head very well but the front part he aimed does look like rpg back.

Its impossible to mess it up unless someone teach you the wrong way intentionally. Shoulder rest, aim, head, handle and trugger and safety, all are wrong way.

Also it seems to me he could of been hit by something before he shot.

Yikes. I knew Russia hasn’t been sending their best for a while now, but this is a whole new level.

    Reminds me of McNamara’s Morons.

    Putin’s Pinheads?

This probably didn’t kill him as it didn’t detonate.

This moron probably died in an equally stupid manner later that day but we don’t have video of that.

Did he shoot it the wrong way or was it just the back blast in that hole that got him?

Are we sure it’s being fired backwards? It’s really grainy and hard to tell what’s going on. A cloud of smoke behind a shoulder fired rocket is quite normal as there’s a backblast. Certainly, something went wrong, but I don’t think it was backwards.

    I’m not saying, I’m just saying… 🥴🤷‍♂️
