Ich bin selbst ein Einwanderer, arbeite mich immer noch hierher und bin vor kurzem angekommen, aber bevor ich hier ankam, hatte ich auf der Seite der deutschen Botschaft in meiner Heimatstadt genau die gleiche Rhetorik und wiederholte ständig, dass Deutschland dringend Einwanderer brauche. Wie soll das gehen? Warum braucht Deutschland so viele Einwanderer, wenn der Markt bereits gesättigt zu sein scheint?

The „skilled labour shortage“ is a codeword for a lack of people in a few select sectors (like rural doctors, taking care of elderly people or experts in certain scientific fields). This is more due to a lack of people willing to do it rather than an actual worker shortage.
There’s more than just IT or generic business fields, which is what some people in India seem to forget. Those fields, as well as several other white collar jobs, are indeed saturated. The skilled workers that Germany actually needs are doctors, nurses plumbers, electricians and other blue collar workers. The discrepancy or confusion is that too many people follow the herds getting Computer Science degrees instead of getting degrees or developing skills that are actually in demand.
