    1. Norwegian police have created a website, where they show a map with a ping whenever someone connect to a server they controll to download what the person think is CSAM.

      Don’t look at it if you still have some faith in humanity.

      Shocking !

      Server calls every other second, from all over the world. And that’s only a tiny fraction of what it going on in reality, on ONE supervised server.

      Network engineer here… Given how much of the normal traffic on the internet is bots, I would be interested to know if that ratio holds on this particular honeypot server, and if they are able to identify VPN connections as such (they should be able to, it’s not terribly complicated).

      (Not to mention the general unreliability of IP location data).

      Not everyone knows the abbreviation „CSAM“. It makes this post hard to understand.
