      In his head:

“Ew, someone get me out of this commoners house quick, I hate being forced to talk to the peasants.”

The clasped hands gesture is big amongst the clergy and politicians. Can indicate:

      • Anxiety being suppressed

      • Internal conflict

      • Defensive posture

      • Patience (real or performative)

      Next Fianna Fail meeting.

I hear you’re concerned about poor people now Taoiseach! Should we all be concerned about poor people now? It’s just the stock market and being a landlord takes up all my time and at night I just like a nice glass of chateauneuf-du-pape. I mightn’t have time to dedicate myself to being concerned about poor people.
