      I find this curious. Squid Game is cleary critical of a capitalist system and those that put greed and instant gratification over the greater good. You think they would point to it as why life in North Korea is superior.

      How much of what is reported on North Korea is true? We know that it is illegal for them to watch foreign media, and I would assume South Korean media would be probably the worst. I don’t think North Korea has done public executions since like the 60’s though, and it feels like the propaganda about North Korea has gotten so out of hand that normal reporting of “children (or probably their parents) arrested for possessing foreign media” somehow isn’t shocking enough?

      Even though NK and its regime are beyond fucked up, I think it’s important to take stories like this with a grain of salt. I remember years ago stories coming out about how Kim Jung Un had a general executed in a full stadium by blasting him with artillery to after he was tortured by dogs. The general wasn’t seen for weeks, and Western experts said he had fallen out of favor prior to his execution.

      Then a few weeks later after his supposed execution he showed up again. He had just been sick with some sort of nasty illness.

      Wait till they find out Kim Jong UN has like 2 copies of a fuck load of different video games. I worked at a major publisher and we could see 2 copies of basically every game we made were owned in North Korea.
