Warme Luft beschert Hokkaido frühlingshafte Temperaturen, löst jedoch einen tödlichen Schneeunfall aus

Falling snow and ice is dangerous. This morning I saw the ice blocks that had been on my genkan roof for a few weeks starting to slide over, so I pushed with my shovel to get them to fall, before they fall on my family or myself. There are some pretty sketchy icicles and sheets of ice over walkways in my area. Hope no one gets hurt, but it’s definitely just a question of luck in some places.

I don’t understand why people feel the need to go on the roof and clear snow. Are there no other methods? Obviously that’s dangerous! Especially if you are 80! I can’t believe anyone without special equipment and training would go on any roof whatsoever.
