It’s a good thing we have Chinese cars coming because I have 0 faith in the North American auto industry to make EVs unless they’re dragged kicking and screaming into doing so.
Gotta be honest, I’m sick of giving the auto sector money when their cars are ridiculously priced and they haven’t advanced at all.
Kind of short on details here. Investment in what exactly? R+D? Technology transfer in manufaturing? This looks like another Liberal trial balloon. Rebates for better gas mileage? I don’t really know what to think of it.
If these rebates are for cars that offer less emissions: EV’s, hybrids, or smaller cars, I’m all for it.
I’m waiting to hear the details from Carney.
