The people most deserving of prison are the law enforcement and prosecutors that corruptly swept it under the rug. The AG isn’t going to prosecute herself.

      >“We cannot allow that any of the cases involving abuse of Polish children by the network of pedophiles and the organizer of this satanic circle, Mr. Epstein, be treated lightly,” Tusk said, referring to the financier who killed himself in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges that he sexually abused underage girls at his homes in the U.S.

      >The US Department of Justice has slashed funding and training resources for law enforcement working on investigations and prosecutions of sex crimes against children under the Trump administration, which limits their ability to carry out this work.

      >Major cuts include the cancelation of 2025 National Law Enforcement Training on Child Exploitation, due to be held in Washington DC in June. The conference is an annual event that provides technical training to prosecutors, state and federal law enforcement officers on investigating online crimes against children.

Federal prosecutors are now operating under new “austerity” measures, put into place by the justice department, creating roadblocks to prosecuting alleged child predators, sources said.

      >The sweeping retreat threatens to negate decades of progress in the drive to prevent sexual slavery, forced labor and child sexual exploitation, according to legal experts, former government officials and anti-trafficking advocates. They say the administration’s moves are impeding efforts to prosecute perpetrators and protect survivors in the United States and around the world.

The real and boring answer to this is that most of this “evidence” isn’t actionable. The vast majority of these wealthy and truly evil people also aren’t stupid. Saying coded stuff (or even pretty blatant stuff) over emails is just not strong evidence in a court of law. Even photos of these creeps with minors isn’t unless there’s something illegal happening in the photo, which, again, they’re not stupid so this is unlikely? Can any reasonable person clearly see that these are truly evil people who SHOULD die? Yes. But the only justice you’re going to get is in the court of public opinion. Ruin these people’s lives as best as you can.

      Because there’s no reason to.

Americans have such an embarrassingly low level of understanding for how their government functions, that we have entire social media apps and an entire wing of our journalism industry that’s effectively 100% dedicated to allowing or encouraging Americans to bitch and complain nonstop about “MAGA”, “Libruls”, “democrats”, “republicans”, “Trump”, whatever.

We’ve done such a thorough job of convincing all these idiots that the *REAL PROBLEM* is either this tribe, or that tribe, that our elected officials really don’t have much incentive to push harder for prosecution. All they have to do is sit back and watch the rabble bark at each other over whatever the latest and greatest crisis is, because none of their constituents seems to have the capacity to understand if Americans want to have a government that works *for* them instead of using them as just another product, then they’re going to have to go after something other than just “voting out that party and putting in the other party”.

It would seem that things are still needing to get worse before they get better. Hopefully Americans hit the wall hard enough, and it hurts enough that they wake tf up but I’m becoming less optimistic that it’s something I’ll see in my own lifetime. Hopefully our kids are smarter than we were.

This is a disappointing answer, but so far there is no evidence that meets the standard necessary to present in court as part of a prosecution. Aside from the two people already prosecuted of course.

Because people need to understand (and this is going to be a very tough thing to grasp), these are tips and interviews done with folks who were allegedly connected to this. There is no clear cut evidence tying anyone in there to any of the crimes that have been alleged. Many of the claims in the released files, are verified as uncorroborated or unproven. Even the things like Musk’s email or some of the other communications, they prove they were connected in the social circle, but there is no clear evidence of wrongdoing in specific acts, which is what is needed to charge and prosecute for a crime.

The bigger question is that this was combed through significantly before being released, what they chose to release is merely speculation, what hasn’t been released may very well be the most damning.

What the released files DO however prove, is that there is no longer any plausible deniability for anyone who was even remotely connected to Epstein, and in Trump’s case, shows the relationship is significantly deeper than once thought. Basically, there’s no way that Trump didn’t know Epstein was doing the things he was doing, and is highly likely to have participated, but there is no real proof.

Anyone expecting to find a smoking gun to criminally charge people is going to be sorely disappointed. I believe the biggest consequence anyone could face, is a change in the public’s perception, especially in midterm season.
