One of the steps in the US national security strategy aimed at destroying the EU.

Interesring while journalists, media, scientists, comedians are being threatened by Trump in USA, he thinks its EU that has a problem with censorship. Absolute nonsense.

USA is the worlds biggest enemy.

      >At the heart of the accusations is a technical but crucial issue: because major platforms typically apply a single set of content policies worldwide, European regulations can effectively influence what Americans see online – the so-called ‘Brussels effect‘.

Waaaaah it costs money, gtfo with your free speech red herrings, these ppl would have their granny walk the streets after selling her kidneys.

    3. Just because not everyone knows this: The EU actually has a database where every moderation decision on social media & big internet platforms has to be tracked and made public (so much for censorship):

**Edit:** Here an example, content removal on reddit: [https://transparency.dsa.ec.europa.eu/statement/104370308858](https://transparency.dsa.ec.europa.eu/statement/104370308858)

That said – the exact content that was deleted isn’t shown in these Statements, it shows that „Termination of the account“ was due to „Rule 3: Non-consensual intimate media“

    4. Oh, it’s that time of the year where the dicks of big tech oligarchs seem to have reached republicans tonsils.

Ok i know this stick by now. It’s coded language for „republicans have been running a decade-long censorship campaign“.

Love it. We just discovered their entire politic/economic system is based on pervert pedophiles with ties directly to Israel but yes, the EU putting a mille foot down to respect our rules is the issue

US banned TikTok because of foreign information collection and propaganda concerns.

Europe can use the exact same reasoning to ban the American advertising platforms that pretend to promote communication.

The former United States of America has no business lecturing others about free speech while it sends its President‘s private goon squad after Journalists reporting about said goon squad executing citizens for enacting their constitutional rights.

The American Reich can take its „criticism“ and shove it!

Don’t know whether this will fly but the French governments response to Musk:

Elon Musk: This is a political attack

French Response: Investigating child sexual abuse material isn’t controversial.

Turning it into political theater is manipulation.

Maybe that logic flies on some island. Doesn’t fly in France.

    10. US Republicans?

The same US Republicans refusing to fully disclose the evidence of a global pedophile ring that involves many of their leadership cadre, their tech-bro allies and other assorted associates of theirs?

The same US Republicans trying to dictate what can and cannot be taught, or even mentioned, in school by teachers, including with regards evolution, sexuality, history and other topics?

The same US Republicans who fixed it so that if you want to visit America you have to submit your social media details so they can see if you’ve ever said anything to upset the babies that run their party?

The same US Republicans that try to dictate what the media reports, what the TV companies can joke about and even what the likes of South Park can satirise?

These people are utterly repugnant and they lie as easily as the rest of us breath.

I think it was Eisenhower who said that when fascism comes to America it will come carrying a bible and draped in the flag. He was a wise, wise man and not enough people listened.

    11. How dare Europe not allow far-right hate speech to run free. Nothing bad has ever happened in Europe because of right-wing hate speech and propaganda!! Ever!

Meanwhile, they are turning a blind eye to how they benefited from Russian interference in American politics. How stupid can you be…

    13. Isn’t their own Republican Attorney General censoring the Epstein Files, they need to fix their own house first.

    14. butwhywedothis on

Eu should sanction every Rep(edo)ublican and ban their entry to EU until they release un-redacted Epstein files.

    15. Reading the article, they seem to be angry that the EU wanted to talk to Tiktok ahead of the US elections. It does not seem to be clear if the meeting happened or what was even discussed.

    16. Tend your own shop, Republiscum.

The EU doesn’t need lectures from vermin trying to tear up.their own Constitution in order to install a fascist forever-government.

The sooner you fuck off and collapse into bankruptcy, the better.

    17. Bicentennial_Douche on

Aren’t republicans the same folks who are busy banning books in USA?

    18. You mean the US republicans that have been screaming about censorship for the past decade? The same republicans that have been publicly shouting about every conspiracy theory under the sun? The same republicans that get away with ugly name calling and general bullying? The same republicans that try to limit voices from their political opponents and everyone they don’t like? Those republicans? Yeah maybe we SHOULD censor them!

„Accuse the other side of that which you are guilty.“ -Joseph Goebbels…or Stephen Miller, I get them confused.
