I used to go to Fuji-yoshida and climb Mount Fuji from there. Not any more. I think the problem is more of the prefecture trying to commercialize Mount Fuji and it’s surrounding area rather the foreign tourists.
It’s no long worth the time to go there.
People will still go there, except now there won’t be a festival event to funnel them all into.
This is pathetic. Japan wants and needs mass tourism but they prefer Tourists leave their money at the airport and go back immediately.
Japan is not even a top 10 destination for tourists and they are whining already.
No Japanese city is in the top 10 of tourist destination.
How is this sub going to blame China now?
