Rumour mill is suggesting Kenney wants Poilievres job. Would certainly be interesting if that’s why hes coming out of the wood work more recently. Especially given how he was ousted from his Premiership.
He created this monster just to defeat the ANDP, as if a social democratic party was a greater threat than a pack of separatists he let in the door.
Gee.
I wonder why a party founded on the idea that your province is unfairly treated by the rest of Canada (e.g. spending [millions of dollars](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_Inquiry_into_Anti-Alberta_Energy_Campaigns) to fight „Anti-Alberta Energy Campaigns“) would devolve into sentiments of alienation and separatism.
I gotta say: I really don’t appreciate Kenney trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube after he squeezed it all over the floor in order to become Premier.
What a liar.
What did he think would happen when the Conservatives and Wildrose merged? Wildrose is Alberta’s version of the Bloc and when you absorb that into UCP the separatist aspects of Wildrose will eventually overwhelm and takeover the personality of UCP. And he’s lying to himself saying he didn’t see this coming.
If he was really concerned he wouldn’t have encouraged it to cause problems for Ottawa and discouraged it from growing and spreading and make it obvious what the UCP stands for from the start. He was okay with it because he benefited from it.
