Japans „Problem 2040“ – zu diesem Zeitpunkt wird die große „Baby Boom Junior“-Generation des Landes (die letzte große Generation vor dem Rückgang der Fruchtbarkeit) in den Ruhestand gehen, was das Verhältnis von Rentnern zu Bürgern im erwerbsfähigen Alter erheblich verändern wird. Bis 2065 wird es nur noch 1,3 Arbeitnehmer/Steuerzahler geben, die jeden Rentner ernähren müssen.

    It will be quite an imbalance when it comes to voting too – those retirees aren’t going to want immigration, and will be happy to just have the working people work more to pay their pensions (and have even less babies)

    It will be an absolutely glorious society with every working person responsible for maintaining one elderly person while keeping industry and farming and infrastructure ticking over…as long as everyone is Japanese it will all be roses.
