Die Frage ist also, wie wir sicherstellen können, dass dieser Krieg nicht weitergeht oder woanders hingeht. Wir brauchen Zugeständnisse auf russischer Seite.

Russians have already admitted they will be going after European countries once they’ve conquered Ukraine. At least at the rate they’re going Europe will have plenty of time to prepare!
But but but … Putin only started this war because he felt Russia’s security was being threatened!!!
Russia needs to be treated in the way Germany was after ww2.
Nothing else will work because Russian culture inherently favours „strongmen“ who seek to subjugate others. Russia hasn’t yet had the bitchslap it needs to shake off this deep rooted cultural attitude.

It seems to me that anything that grows to big (wealth, power, companies, countries) becomes assholes.
We have a recipe for this: require unconditional surrender, then reduce them to rubble until they agree to those terms. There isn’t another way to convince them.
I wonder what the american elephant in the room makes of that approach to such misdeeds.
