      95% of plastic pollution from rivers comes from these rivers. IIRC the fishing industry produces a lot of plastic as well

    8. I live in Ireland but visit Japan regularly and I’m always shocked by the amount of plastic crap that washes up on Japanese beaches compared to Ireland.

    9. When I see that, why exactly should Europe ban plastic straw halms if its contribution to plastic polution of the oceans is that low?
