Didn’t he basically envision a sort of agrarian nation filled with farms? Was urban industry even on his mind?

I’m proud to be an… Assenisipian?

What’s the source for the southern States? The northern States were proposed in the draft for the 1784 land ordinance, but that was only relevant for lands north of the Ohio river.

Polypotamia – ok get it. The Missouri, Mississippi, and Ohio converge.

Metropotamia – is this metro like city? Or metro like mother? And if so, what river is inspiring this name? The Detroit river?

Now I want to write a parody of the B-52’s song Mesopotamia about Metropotamia

    10. Other early maps just extended the original colonies to the Mississippi. Others thought that a state should be no larger than you could comfortably ride a horse across in a week. Otherwise it would be harder to govern.

    11. Ok but Metropotamia goes incredibly hard. It makes me want like a cyberpunk game with aesthetics based on Mesopotamia.
