    1. Don’t we typically need those to break down and enrich the soil with the nitrogen and such they release? How would this affect crop yield?

I only skimmed the article so I only saw it discuss alternatives to burning the crop waste. If this is strictly about what is burnt on the farm just to destroy the waste, sure this sounds reasonable. But I’m curious if it also considering burning rice husks or nut shells (examples) as a fuel source for their processing, which many industries do to recycle some of the byproducts from processing into something useful.

    2. Orrrrr hear me out. The farmers just compost it into their soil! Wow, what an innovative idea.
