    Im Unionshaushalt 2026–27 wurden sieben neue Hochgeschwindigkeitsbahnkorridore angekündigt, zusätzlich zum im Bau befindlichen Hochgeschwindigkeitszug Mumbai–Ahmedabad.

      I’d have thought Delhi to Mumbai passing by Ahmedabad would have been one of the first line to aim for

      Why are they making a HSR corridor btw Varanasi & Siliguri instead of Kolkata, which is by far the largest city in east India (16th in the world)

      They are at such an under capacity it’s not even funny. Forget high speed just have more passenger trains and have them run on time. This is the key.

      India cannot commit  HSR safety as long as corruption and political influence is a deep ingrained culture..

      Mixed with domestic ethnic and geopolitical faultlines, India must implement double the safety precautions compared to US, Europe or China… But is that even considered ?
