This doesn’t even make sense. Immigrants subject to deportation orders (i.e., unlawful resident aliens) would not be eligible for Medicaid.
How is that not a HIPAA violation?

All of the ethical concerns and issues aside, this is the kind of shit that isnt helping anything with medical costs. If people completely ignore going to doctors for their relatively curable and cheap conditions, they will hold off until the thing becomes a super expensive ER visit thay they simply cannot prevent using anymore.
American Healthcare is so expensive partially because we do the worst job of upstream health, preventive care, good food habits, social safety nets etc. and just treat the downstream conditions when they’ve already exacerbated to a bad level. Stuff like this doesnt help any of it.
